HI, I’M GABY

Nice to meet you! I’m a Cuban-American writer, journalist, and host living in Los Angeles.

Born and raised in Miami, Florida, talking about the fact that I’m Latina is essentially a prerequisite. Due to this uncontrollable habit, it’s only natural that Latinx culture remains at the forefront of my writing and content creation. That and highlighting cultural trailblazers leaving their mark on this world.

And because my favorite hobby is unpacking pretty much anything that makes anyone uncomfortable, I dedicate the rest of my storytelling to highlighting stigmatized topics. Want to talk about mental health, relationships, sex, or piercings I got that my mother was extremely displeased about? I’ve got you.

If you’re looking for more sentimental trash mind-dumps, check my Substack, “Irregardless”.

And if you’re not a big reader, that’s cool. Check out my YouTube channel or head on over to my podcast, Thoughts May Vary, where mental health brand consultant, Meadowlark Monaghan, and I discuss the invisible string that connects us all, our mental health.

And if you’re curious about what I was doing prior to all of the above, I graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from The George Washington University before moving to New York City where I remained cold, anxious, but admittedly entertained. Aside from bothering people outside of Fashion Week shows as a freelancer for The New York Times, I devoted the rest of my time in the city to working as the Assistant to the Editor in Chief at Architectural Digest.

Now that you’re all caught up, let’s chat.
