HI, I’M GABY
Nice to meet you! I’m a Cuban-American, Los Angeles-based journalist, on camera-host and writer living in Los Angeles. I cover culture, Latinidad, wellness, and style. You can find my words in publications like Architectural Digest, New York Magazine, The New York Times, Remezcla, Refinery29, Domino, and more.
From cover stories featuring Colman Domingo and Elsa Hosk, to culture-first stories with Rosalía and chef, Sophia Roe, I’m here to illuminate the invisible string that unites us all—our humanity.
And because my favorite extra curricular is discussing anything that makes anyone uncomfortable, I dedicate the rest of my storytelling to navigating stigmatized topics. Want to talk about mental health, relationships, sex, or piercings I got that my mother was extremely displeased about? I’ve got you. And if you’re looking for more sentimental trash featuring career and love mind-dumps, check out my newsletter, “Irregardless”.
If you’re not a big reader, that’s cool too. Head over to my YouTube channel, where I share the BTS of building my dream career. You can also listen to previous episode of my podcast, Thoughts May Vary, where up until October of 2024, I unpacked conversations at the intersection of mental health, community, and nuance. You can also find me hosting a variety of panels and summits as a moderator or speaker in an effort elevate the conversations that matter most.
If you’re curious about what I was doing prior to all of the above, I graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from The George Washington University before moving to New York City where I remained cold, anxious, but admittedly entertained. Aside from bothering people outside of Fashion Week shows as a freelancer for The New York Times, I devoted the rest of my time in the city to working as the Assistant to the Editor-in-Chief at Architectural Digest.
Now that you’re all caught up, let’s chat.
